Beta Max first rose to prominence in the underground scene without having ever released a single piece of recorded music. This proved problematic when news of his untimely death led millions to demand access to his recordings. When it was later revealed he faked his death to increase sales (the first artist to ever succeed in this) it was also revealed a logistical error had impeded the planned release of his mythic "posthumous album". Fortunately the genius execution of his faked death only furthered the art world's worship of Beta Max's artistic mastery, and as such the now deemed "post-resurrection album" was desired above all other treasures. At last available to listen to and own, 'Resting O-Face' has once again launched Beta Max to somewhere above, and beyond, stardom. As one respected reviewer wrote, "To name Beta Max's 'Resting O-Face' as the greatest musical album ever made is to insult it by suggesting any other recording could even be considered music."
